Sometimes we take for granted that we're just playing a silly CT vs T game and don't realize that real life events are taking place all over the world. Israel has been attacked hundreds of times in the recent years (and, of course, has retaliated many times).
Today, it's hit the US -- from what I can gather an airplane plowed the World Trade Center, and then another one stuck. The south tower of the WTC has fallen (a full collapse or not is unknown). Reports are that an American Airlines 767 was hijacked and was one of the planes that stuck the WTC. Many news sources claim this is an external terrorist attack, a fairly large organized terrorist attack. The Pentagon, the center of the US's military activity, has also been stuck with, what news sources believe, is either a helicopter or airplane. All airports have been shut down.
It doesn't look like it's the end, either. Everyone around the world hopes that America has the strength, even in the face of blood, to not shed any of it -- no one wants a World War. Though it means nothing, my heart goes out to all the families and friends who have lost sons, daughters, wives, husbands, fathers, mothers, and pals.
Update: It seems as if both towers of the New York World Trade Center have collapsed, but many of the other details aren't clear. Another plane has gone down in Pennslyvania. A total of four planes were hijacked. Early estimates are the in the range of 10,000-15,000 people dead in total, but of course no one really has any idea. I only post this because many news large sites are down/slow, but CNN has posted one page of loads of info.
