My good Aussie friend NextWish notified me that he's updated his site with a new fix for the CS retail package. What does it do? The update, says Nexty, "installs all of the textures and maps that are missing from Counter-Strike Retail but are required to play on most internet servers. If you have ever experienced a error regarding not being able to find jos.wad, n0th1ng.wad or as_tundra.wad then this modification will fix it!" Grab the fix off of his site or hit this link!

Our Aussie friend NextWish (of nextwish.org) worked day and night to bring you the freshest fixes and easter eggs for CS 1.1. Here's the fruits of his labor:» Version 11.0 of his Counter-Strike Weapon Names Fix, which changes all of the weapon names in the Retail version of Counter-Strike back to their realnames. This modification is now Counter-Strike 1.1 Compatible.» Version 11.1 of his Counter-Strike Map Fix, which is for those people who rushed out to buy Counter-Strike Retail, only to find that half of the maps are missing. This modification now includes all of the maps and textures that were left out in the CS 1.0 -> CS 1.1 Retail upgrade.» And finally, Nexty has found the easter egg in de_rotterdam.
