I haven't served up a wholesome batch of NewsBits™ in a while, so eat 'em up while they last:

» My good buddy NextWish posted two new updates/fixes for Counter-Strike retail users. Nexty has a HL Deathmatch patch that includes some files that were left out of the latest CS Retail upgrade and a TFC patch which also includes some missing files from the retail update. Remember these patches are for retail users only.» Adding to the ever-growing pile of reviews comes Gamers Sanctuary with their excellent review of 1.1. CS came out on top (where it's good to be) again with a 93% overall rating!» And 3D Spotlight spent an all-nighter working on a HL/CS/TFC tweaking guide in lieu of the newest upgrades. The guide covers a slew of topics ranging from scripting to troubleshooting. Anyone in the market for a decent tweak guide?

Valve needs to make sure they package their files correctly next time; NextWish is becoming a regular Half-Life patch source.

In other stupid and grammatically erroneous news, we have bits, NewsBits.

• The Backburner has created a contest where you little peons in the IRC channel of life, you can send them your homemade maps and if chosen, it will be sent to Gooseman for evaluation, there is no guarantee that it will be included in the next version of CS.



• ClanShack is now hosting a little site that lists busted cheaters, but don't worry, they have (and require) proof.



• If you want to have a "kewl" spray like your friends, try ES-Spray, even though technically it should be "EZ" instead of "ES", but that's ok, it's still better than the cumbersome HL logo interface.
