Paul, my favorite masked informant, tells me that PCGamer UK has kicked up their CS 1.0 Review, which was featured in their December issue. Let me present you with a few review droppings (that was highly disgusting):
CS scores an admirable 93% at the end, and the site's viewer rating ranks the game (currently) at 4.3 stars. Hit up their site and vote, because only PCGamer UK has reviews you choose.There's always more to be said, and there's always more that the Counter-Strike design team could do. Even now, Lead Designer Gooseman is talking about what he'd like in v1.1. They'll release genuine patches, rather than a new beta, just like proper grown up games. It's arguable that this is one game that has spent too long in development and might never be able to stop - a design team locked into a gaming evolution that they really should compile and execute one final time. This could be the final version of a game that should never have been finished.
