GamePen has slapped up the results from their Action/Tactical Game of the Year award. Who won?
Did I spoil it?It is this simplicity of play that makes it so addictive. Games are long enough to generate suspense, but short enough that they don't become tiresome if you're killed early. It's a straight FPS anyone can play, but to win consistently, teamwork must be used, or games become quick routes. Playing the game as a deathmatch, even when it is a deathmatch, is suicide.
While Sierra may be accused of milking the Half-Life license, no one can deny that Counter-Strike is the most addictive online team game to come out in a long while.
