    HL:CS review

HL:CS has been reviewed by PC IGN, the one and only.
So how long does the magic last? Well we've been playing this game for over a year and we still can't get enough of it. Are we tired of it? Hell no! We're still surprised by how fun this game is. This game actually made some of us squeal like little school-girls after getting sniped from an unexpected angle. On the other hand some of us were drawn to stand up and scream obscenities at the monitor. We'll just have to get them next time!
HL:CS received a 9.5 in the Gameplay category and a 10.0 in the Lasting Appeal category. Be sure to check it out.

Playing CS for a while now, I'm at the stage where it's getting rather lackluster. The gameplay is fun and interesting at times, but it has lost its original spark. Maybe it's the rather degrading netcode (I don't care which way you put it, it's disappointing) or the repetitious type of play, I'm just bored of it. I remember beta 5.2 where things were actually fun, while they still are, the feeling is just gone. Counter-Strike is known as a hybrid of realism and action. Now in my mind it's Rainbow 6 in Half-Life. The slow player speeds, the crappy crosshair and the netcode, this is the netcode they will "feature" in TF2? I'm having my doubts. I don't think I'm the only person who thinks this too, bring back the action in CS and improve the forsaken netcode. Realism would be taking 10 hours to die of a stomach wound, and it seems CS will eventually have such a feature. Realism bites. Thoughts, comments?
