Gib-O-Rama has launched a website to promote their upcoming Lock -n- Load 2K1 event scheduled for January 12-13 in Alvin, Texas (near Houston). It will be split into two major Counter-Strike team tournaments (registered clan and open pick-up) and will be held at the Journey, a 17,000 sq. foot gamer's heaven complete with a coffee bar, restaurant, game room, 15,000 watts of audio power, and a 14-foot video screen. Stay tuned for an announcement of prizes and list of sponsors, which already includes Gravis, Kensington and Razor.

This is a single elimination tournament. Each tournament will start with 32 teams, with one round played each week. Which means (do the math) the tournament will be 5 weeks long. We picked this tournament format for a couple of reasons. First, we hope that the short tournament season will be attractive to teams that don't want to be held to a long drawn out commitment, like so many of the "Leagues" on the net. And second, by keeping it short, we hope to get as many teams as possible involved in the tournaments
