3D Action Planet has booted up a rant of whether single-player is going to stay, or be diminished by the loads of multiplayer games out there.
Update: CS-Nation's server is like aeflux on coffee, but at least now it's somewhat stable.
And that's what it should be, multiplayer about fragging with friends and proving your skill to other people, while single-player should be story-intensive and based on good AI. (rant!)Don't get me wrong - I like multiplayer games. I like playing a round of Counterstrike on the Internet. But I love playing a single-player game that has a brilliant storyline and keeps me on the edge of my seat. It has to have the vital ingredient of good gameplay on top of clever AI, just like Half-Life singleplayer did.
