Well if you read my post Im refering to Steam obviously not being ready for release. sure they may want to stress test there servers; but at our expence? pfft.



So I am right; If your going to distribute beta software through an external program atleast make the program do its job properly.

CS hasn't been beta since 1.0 - They have released beta's of these versions before thier official release. When 1.6 comes out, it will just be CS Version 1.6 - Not beta 1.6.

I got steam before the release, but I only wanted to see steam/tracker I know am not qualified for beta testing, so I din't even bother trying to download it. the thing is i know this is a beta test and that i shouldn't be a part of it. you guys think beta testing=playing and then you flame valve and the rest of the world cause it doesn't work like 1.5



I am not, nor have i been a tester, but i read just about everyting about the beta, so I know how it works, which is obviously a lot more then you know

Firstly, how else can they stress test their servers, there aren't 100,000 staff at valve with 100,000 computers and 100,000 connections.

Secondly, the program does do it's job properly, it's just the VALVe server doesn't have enough bandwidth for all the CS community.

If you're going to critisize his post, at least make sure you know how to use their, there and they're. That's also not how you spell expense.

You shouldnt need to stress test servers, they know their bandwith, they know their delivery rate and know how long the server can cope; SO WHY BOTHER PSSING EVERYONE OFF WITH A MAJOR DISAPOINTMENT.



No, the program doesnt do its job properly at all, instead of giving proper errors it just made people run round in circles going 'WHATS A SOCKET ERR)R)R)R!111'. The point of Steam is to provide a platform for people to report and play on the beta, due to their lack of planning and proper calculations were sitting here debating our asses off on who's the bigger idiot.
