All we know is that
"The president has met with a number of stakeholders. Next week he'll also be meeting with members of the video game industry to see what they can do on that front as well. This is going to be an ongoing process and something that we don't expect to happen overnight, but something that we're going to continue to be engaged in and continue look for the best ways possible to make sure we're doing everything we can to protect schools across the country."
The above quote was the response given to a question that was asked as to why it seems like there won't be any response from Congress next week regarding new gun legislation. Yes, a question about why there isn't any upcoming gun legislation prompted a response about violent video games. These people are well and truly touched in the head.
Kotaku seems to have a wee bit more information about this. They say that a "person familiar with executive-level matters in the video game industry(...) told Kotaku this was the first that they or anyone they had spoken to had heard of this meeting."
Oh.
Ok.
At any rate, this is the second time in as many weeks that Trump decided to erroneously blame the gaming industry.
