Square Enix let us know today that NieR: Automata has surpassed 2 million units shipped. Note, that specifically says "shipped" and does not say "sold." That's a pretty big distinction to know. This announcement also serves as an opportunity for Square Enix to announce the vinyl box set of the NieR: Automata and NIER: Gestalt & Replicant soundtrack.

Vinyl in 2017? It's more likely than you think. Also, there's something about a Blu-ray and another Blu-ray.
The box set will be available in December, and will feature four vinyl LPs with a variety of tracks selected by series composer Keiichi Okabe as well as exclusive illustrations from Tokyo Ghoul illustrator Sui Ishida.

Finally, fans can relive the haunting music with the NieR Music Concert & Talk Live video Blu-ray and the NieR Music Concert: The Memories of Puppets Blu-ray, available for pre-order from the Square Enix Online Store.

But hey, back to the game. The Steam release of the game is sitting at a 35% discount until September 25. There is a 35% discount through the PlayStation Store until September 26.
