  • Crash Bandicoot is the Biggest Single-Format Release this Year

Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy surpassed Horizon Zero Dawn as the best single-format boxed release in the UK. Even more impressive here is the fact that Crash Bandicoot was surpassed in first week sales only by Ghost Recon: Wildlands.

In the UK, boxed game sales are up 93% week-over-week, for a total of 331,000 games sold.

There is a lot of speculation, though nothing confirmed yet by Activision, that Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy will see a release on the Xbox nearer to the end of the year. Maybe with a bit of luck, we'll get to see Crash Team Racing get the next Vicarious Visions' treatment, or maybe even the Spyro the Dragon trilogy?

Other notable weekly sales figures for the UK include Micro Machines: World Series coming in at second on the charts, despite receiving some rather lackluster reviews from critics and fans alike. Grand Theft Auto V continues to dominate by coming in third on the sales charts, despite the supposed "mass" outrage towards Take-Two. Forza Horizon 3, FIFA 17, Overwatch, Elite Dangerous, Mario Kart 8: Deluxe, Dirt 4, and Rocket League finish up the top 10.
