Remember this thread from a couple of weeks ago? With over 1000 views it certainly proved an interesting read. However I emailed Valve and got this response from Robin Walker:

"It's a bug, sorry for the confusion. We'll have it fixed shortly."

Those levels are a lie!

Soon after the email was received an update was released, yet people still seem to be acquiring these Level 78 Sandviches a few weeks on. I can't help but feel that maybe these levels are still going to be used even though Valve said that they were a bug. Surely they would have fixed such a minor bug with ease?

think it's safe to say valve was lying. kinda makes you wonder if the default items will eventually start dropping. i don't use many of the unlocks but i wouldn't mind having a level 80 rocket launcher......

And the translated speech dialogues from the Russian/Other foreign files that say things about new weapons, look at my new weapon etc...

And the fact that in the kill box it says what level weapon you were killed by.

How could you have a bug that gives random numbers to a static value? It has to be deliberate.
