In some hardware news coming out of the Nintendo E3 Press Conference, the Big N showed off the Wii Vitality Sensor. This device attaches to the bottom of the Wiimote and then to the tip of the user's finger. It is used to measure the player's pulse. Nintendo president Satoru Iwata said of the device: "Maybe everyone under pressure in our stressful society could use this to relax with a videogame." No software has been announced or mentioned that uses this new hardware yet. A release date is also unknown.
