The gaming blog Kotaku reports that three companies have shown interest in the Chicago based publisher Midway. Those include Warner Brothers Interactive Entertainment which has recently been expanding rapidly in the video game market. Ubisoft which recently published the Midway Newcastle game Wheelman due to Midway unable to publish the game due to it's financial problems, and a currently unknown private Chicago investor.
With recent rumors that the developers of Mortal Kombat seeking to leave the company it is no surprise that other companies are quick to pounce on the publisher. The North American division of Midway filled for bankruptcy while the European division is still operating normally.
