At the beginning of next week, the BattleForge beta players of will get their first glimpse of all 200 cards which will be released when the game hits stores on March 26th. Up till now, not all of the cards were available in the beta. Now players have a chance to see how all the units, spells, and buildings interact in this epic online RTS.
Volker Wertich, co-founder and Creative Director of EA Phenomic, expanded on the vision behind BattleForge, "The scope of the game is massive. With 200 unique cards, we've created three RTS games in one. The players can combine the units any way they want, which results in an ever evolving strategy. You're opponent can always surprise you with something new."
The remaining cards will be implemented via a large patch. For the patch, we will wipe the beta accounts. The characters on the account will not be deleted. Each player's first character will start with the four theme decks: Nature, Frost, Fire and Shadow. Additionally, each player will receive 3000 BattleForge Points which they can spend in the market place or in the auction house. Any additional characters created by a beta player will start with an empty card collection.
We would also like to express our gratitude to the thousands of players who have taken part in the beta, clocking an average of 10 hours playtime per player per week. We are happy to announce that we have a unique card reward exclusively for the beta players - the special Firedancer. This ultra-rare unit, upgraded and featuring alternative card art will be given to beta players after the game launches.

The complete update notes of the patch will be available in the forum shortly before implementation. If you want in on the BattleForge beta, you can sign up at battleforgecardhunt.com to receive your beta key.
