Well I see where you are coming from, but the mod devs intended the mod to be played in a certain way when designing it, changing spawn times etc throws all the bigger game play changes out the window, the system is meant to punish people who waste tickets and die a lot, not just give them 5 secs to respawn.

Well some people like the new content but not all of the coding that comes with it. If you don't want anything changed just don't join a server with SSM.

They started using licences because servers started poping up with really shot respawns and other stuff, this to the devs is not how the mod was designed to be played and now all PR servers should run on universal settings. It throws the gameplay and death punishment out the window if you set spawn times to 10 secs, I also though It seemed a little draconian at first, but I see why they did it.

The PR dev team yanked our license for the 1 second spawn bug because they claim...and I quote:

"I've talked to my fellow Developers and some trusted PR server admins about your apparent server problem and after careful consideration we have decided to remove your licence.

The reasons for this are simply that, your initial response to us as to why your server had short spawn times, low gravity etc on the server, where down to bugs in PR that you had posted about in the these forums? This simply does not add up in our eyes or that of any Server Admins. These "bugs" you have reported about have already been fixed for v0.85 and only give the server admin error messages + a few small minor bugs which are easily overcome, which all the other server admins have no real problem with. The only thing that all these anomalies with your server can be put down to, is things manually changed by admins, such as short spawn times, low gravity etc all of which are in clear breach of your server licence you applied and signed for.

So this really comes down to two real possibilities, either other users who have admin access on your server are going behind your back and making these changes without you knowing, or you are simply not telling us the truth and either letting others do these changes with your full knowledge or making these changes yourself, either way holding you the Server Admin responsible. --[R-DEV]Rhino

Boy these guys really have it together. They have no idea what they are doing and now our license is yanked because of what is obviously a common bug even in .85. Maybe they should yank Tactical Gamer's license too!!

Maybe they are modding their spawn times like we were. Hmmmmm.

I have pleaded with the dev guys to believe us that we didnt mod the server but to no avail. Even though I reported this bug in this forum way back about 2 months ago:

[R-DEV]bosco him self was the latest reply to our plea for our case to be reviewed due to these types of issues and his response was basically the same thing.

Hmmm mayby Bosco can be officially convinced now that it is not just our server that is doing it and not just the .809 version that is doing it!!
In fact we are now officially pissed off! These guys obviously don't want to face up to the reality (no pun intended) that they do not work on bugs. They apparently still just want to blame the admins as to their inability to admin a server.
If this issue is not addressed very soon by the PR dev guys, 101st Airborne Division Clan will be done with PR.
Were sick of the same accusations over and over that we had any thing to do with the crazy bugs that are being posted all over their forums

Here is a report of infinite Molotov cocktails
We experienced the same but with granades

This is an invulnerability bug that was not seen on our server but was reported on our server.

People have reported that they have an endless supply of granades or grenade launcher M203 ammo when they are just shooting them too close and the game by design doesn’t allow that.

    Here are our bugs posted

..and last but not least THIS RECENT BUG THAT IS STILL PRESENT IN .85
Check this report that wasnt on our server INSTANT SPAWN BUG
    NOT OUR SERVER!!!

Which puts your "our modding the spawn times" theory to shame. HA!!

The AK ironsights are so much better than .80, though the no zoom with ironsights takes getting used to.

Yea that happens a lot to me too. If so, I end up getting bored hiding in a window of a house waiting for an enemy to drive by for half an hour.

That's what I mean. If these developers want to go off and create their own company and only give out their super secrete server files to certain people, fine. This is a mod for Battlefield 2, not the same thing.

My gut says there is such a way to prevent that, but I doubt anyone in the PR team would comment on it seeing as that's a sensitive matter.
