    Nintendo's Innovation

    When you think gaming controller you will probably picture something that is big enough for two hands and is littered with buttons. Nintendo seems to have a different view of things. Read on:
    Nintendo has always tried to push the limits of the technology available to them. Whether it was packing in all the power they could into their 8-bit NES or finally giving players a chance to fully control their characters motions with the Wii, another companies best has always seemed to be mediocre. Before delving into the company's recent success with the Wii and DS it's important to look at one, if not the, biggest failure in Nintendo history.

    Released in North America on August 14th, 1995, the Virtual Boy did absolutely nothing right. Promising gamers a new, virtual reality, it fell far short. The only thing slightly revolutionary were some decent three-dimensional graphics but with only red and black being available, the visuals looked awful. The reason we bring this up is because it was Nintendo's first real attempt at trying to change how games were played. This seems to be the approach they are taking now.
