Open Beta For PS3 Home Planned for 2008

Wired is reporting that PS3's Home will be releasing into the general public in 2008. This was confirmed in a chat with PlayStation Network employee Susan Panico. She commented that the "rollout will be similar to Gmail," saying that the launch this year will be akin to an "open, working beta."
This affirms previous announcements by Sony in which the company noted it would give an open beta period for PS3 Home in Fall 2008. Home has seen a handful of delays, originally pushed back until Spring 2008 and more recently pushed back again.
