fly-by view? I've been using Front Cam, is there an advantage to use fly-by?

fly by allows you to see yourself and the enemy.

i binded f12 and f9 to my joystick. I hit f12 while in a turn and see where the enemy is. if he continues to turn, i hit f9 and f12 again (to reset the cam) once he flys out of my view. Its just a way to see the position of your plane relative to the position of his.

It's one thing to know where a jet is if you can't see him from the cockpit - its quite another to watch what he's doing while you fly

it takes practice, but if you flew RC planes its good.

haha, I never did. But I will try that. I have only been checking my immediate 6, I suppose that being able to check a wider angle and where your enemies are headed.

np - yeah f11 works until you peel off - then you lose site of mr. enemy =)

f12 also looks really neat =)

Anybody can outdo anybody if they are dropping the ball. That's just common sense. Now an Su-34 that's perfectly mirroring every move and outturning a good pilot smells of bs.

Hey, Colony....why were you following BitVomit around so doggedly...LOL....Colony is one of the few fliers that I've run into that can damn near "mirror" every move you make.

Never seen him in-game before.

It is IMPOSSIBLE UNLESS THE SERVER HACKS, because the turn data is stored in the server file. Same thing goes for the invisible helicopter hack. ONLY THE SERVER ADMIN can hack like that.

about the turn rate, you can modify the sensitivity to an artifically high number (beyond 10) in the cfg file if you are using mouse. My havoc is as agile as cobra because I cranked up the sensitive to 25.

Before you call me a noob..I been flying jets non stop since bf2 release so I understand how they handle with regards to speed..every once in a while I encounter someone who can completely out turn me. I think its a hack.
Yesterday I was in a turning circle with a mig, I watched him steadily pull away and right behind me (with burners on) this is NOT normal..the migs turning rate cant beat the F35's by THAT much, I would have seen it before in countless hours of air combat. I hav'nt..any one else encounter this?

I dont think it was hack. I know very well that a MiG cant "outturn" a F35B because they are almost identical in maneuvering aspects. Although I dont know what really happened. Heres what I propose. He hit afterburners, you hit afterburners. He flew at ~1100, you flew at ~1400. And since with higher speed, your turn radius got bigger, you actually flew past him at some point in the turn. Heres just my theory.

Colony, Su-34 can never outturn a F-35B, never, ever. What F-35B does, is similar to MiG fight. It just flies by because of its enourmous speed difference. Thats all there is to it. With thortlle control, youll notice that you wont even have to use afterburners to keep yourself behind a Su-34. Just keep your airspeed below 900 and SU wont stand a chance. Which proves that SU is just a bigass bus and F-35 is too fast for the local roads.
