I just don't get it. Why does EA insist that the Engineer class be absolutely worthless in long-range combat? The MP7 was awesome before the patch, now it is less useful at long ranges than the fugging knife.
The thing I hate the most when engineer is all the TK's I end up with just because some noob team members are blind and can't see my mines. It shouldn't be that dificult to spot even an enemy mine as long as it's on a pavement or concrete. If they could fix the artillery TK's with the early patches, they should seriously consider fixing this problem.

hell yea. You'd be surprised at the number of times I've been at a base, or gunner in tank. Hop out and run around the building. People will be back there running to get a rear shot on the tank, and as soon as they run around the corner, they get a 12ga. shot in their face.

i dont know, i think that the mounted 50 cal, tank/apc cannons are quite long range man. how do maintain such equipment without supply boxes? think man think! thats like asking why snipers suck at close range man. (which consequently the semi auto snipers dont) every kit has its purpose, know yours.

Engineers are useless at long range because they can already destroy any vehicle with one mine and can (potentially) keep a vehicle lasting for an entire game.
one thing is for certain: I hate shotguns so I am never ever in my wildest dreams, going to play the engineer class
I agree, you might as well throew rocks at the enemy. The engeneer needs to get more points for fixing more things, oh and losse the shot gun it is worthless!
