Anymore Help??

Ok I' stopped playing BF2 around 3 - 4 months ago when Call of Duty 2 came out. However I'm now getting back into it and am wondering whether their are any patches I need to download, the last patch was the 1.0.3 one I think with the Wake Island. I was looking through the official BF2 site and download a 1.12 patch but apparently when i finished downloading it was only a standalon server patch or something. So are their any important patches that I need to play the game with.

you need the 1.12 patch but it sounds like you downloaded the server patch rather than the client one. All it really does is make it so SF players can use there guns in bf2 so its basically there as a attempt by EA to force you to buy SF.
