A huge TV like that will only make it harder to aim and I guarantee that the image will look better on my TFT.

You do like to go to extremes don't you? How about a nice 19" TFT at 1600 x 1200?

Or how about I just have my 40" screen? More area to shoot at at the picture quality is amazing :p

I'd like 1920x1200 too! But I understand that different ratio montors will provide slight dis/advantages depending on how it is implemented.

Why? The only disadvantage is that DiCE have not supported wide screen resolutions so I have to crop the image. You think i'd be better off with a nice 14" CRT @ 800x600? :laugh:

If you play PC games on a 40" widescreen you're willingly putting yourself at a disadvantage.

Why? The only disadvantage is that DiCE have not supported wide screen resolutions so I have to crop the image. You think i'd be better off with a nice 14" CRT @ 800x600? :laugh:

Do you really think it's fair that someone can have a better graphics card, hence more detail?

Do you really think it's fair that someone can have a better connection, hence less lag?

Do you really think it's fair that if you have a 4:3 monitor and I have a 16:9, YOU currently have a screen visibility advantage over me?

Do you really think it's fair that someone can have a great set of headphones and therefore hear me coming sooner?

Do you reallly think it's fair that someone can have a 40" screen giving them a larger area to aim at?

Do you really think it's fair that someone can own an 1800dpi laser mouse while others own a 2 button ball mouse?

This is PC gaming, if everyone had the same kit it would be no better than a console. I have a 40" widescreen panel worth £2,500, i've paid (well i won, but whatever) for an advantage, just the same as the guy who buys a £350 graphics card and £70 laser mouse when he comes up against me with my raddy 9800 and basic Microsoft mouse.

This is the 21st century not 1985, game devs need to be supporting widescreen resolutions.

The fixes work for crap. You can't tell me that it would be that hard to write code to support Widescreen. I have a Dell W1900 and non of the fixes work for it.

No, you can only get either a stretched or cropped image by doing that.

Also kingshin how did you win that monitor? I wish i was lucky.

My girlfriend won it in an Ebay UK Christmas competition and gave it to me, so I didnt technically win it, but I get to have it :laugh: My girlfriend rules!
