CS, if you are good you will own, BF2 if you are an arswhole (beeing tank whore, noob tube whore, jet whore, spawnraper, main mase raper, you will own .

I'm not sure you fully understand what the thread is about. I'm not drawing a 1:1 comparison of both games. CS is not BF2 and vice versa, the factor that is constant across both games is that humans play them and humans tend to be jerks. My argument is that BF2 has a higher proportion of jerks than CS.

Re: BF2 "griefers" VS CS "griefers"

I have to say, my experience is opposite as well. I followed CS from 1.0 'final' (the version where it went retail, although I played the mod version) to 1.6, which I stopped playing around mid-2004. I returned a bit for CS:S, but the same thing kept me away -- the damned community.

I was pleasentely surprised in how, in other games, such as BF2, few to no one in the servers actually nagged about dying. On occassion, you hear some lowbie call someone else a cheater -- he grows even more frustrated and finally shuts up.

The only kind of griefing I do, personally, is with noobtubers. It's a lame tactic. Period. I don't care if it's a part of the game or not, the fact is it's not balanced and not being used as it was meant to be used. Anyone simply using the noobtube to kill (by "kill" I mean "running out of corners, hopping and shooting about half a meter ahead" not shooting a long length with a GL, now that is skill worthy) admits to finding it more fun to rise the rank regardless of method rather than playing for actual fun. For me, a challenge is a must for fun. No challenge, no fun.

Reguarding griefing, once more, I went a few days back to the CS community, hoping things were different. Hell, it's the same ****ty community as ever. People call you cheater out of no where, you start getting votekicks over highscores, teamkills everywhere, idiotic blockers (something I don't see in BF2, even in tight spaces). And there's always someone nagging.

Personally, I don't know where the heck you play BF2, but all I know is, the sheer amount of ingame nagging in BF2 is not even close to the countless whiners in the CS community. CS is pretty much balanced as is, BF2 isn't. Then again, people think of BF2 as a "anything goes" kind of game, rather than trying to actually play decentely...

I do get your point, and my point is you have way more possibilitys to be a jerk in BF2 then in CS .

not even that, in cs you can point in the general direction of a guy and fire and get a headshot!

I wonder if that's why BF2 snipers complain so much?

I never really played sniper until recently...you just have to know how to use the weapon properly..it's quite fun

Guys, I'm not talking about in game "whiners". Everyone knows that in game CS chat is filled with garbage. Just ignore it like I do and your game is instantly fun again. However, you cannot ignore some jackass that sits under your plane or n00b ejects you from your jet. Here is a more appropriate definition of griefing:

The amount of players that destroy the game for others can be quite high at times. If you play on a well regulated server with a forum though like I do you can take screenshots and post them. The next day the smacktard will usually be banned. The servers I play on also use battlerecorder so once I downloaded a demo, took some screens and gave 7 players a well earned vacation.

bit vomit i dont know what your on about to be honest? I mean yeahi see regularly people queing up for vehicles and now and then u might get a idiot who then jumps in forn of the vehicles to get tkd then opunishes etc and stuff like that.

But it hardly ruins the game, you just stay away from those people. The things in bf2 that cause grief are the same things that make bf2 a good game and fun that why they cause grief! As in vehicles are good so they cuase grief. FF causes grief but without it wheres the skill?

I'm surprised you even play CS with your mentalitiy i would of tohught you'd feel m,uch happier playing pong :)

Re: BF2 "griefers" VS CS "griefers"

CS is the most played FPS ever... FACT

                                I love it...

BF2 is prob most hardware intensive game ever... FACT?

2 very different games with very different styles and very different communities, but credit where it is due I think they are both awesome.

BF2 sometimes takes me hours to get a half decent game... and you do get a lot of attitude from Admin on some servers which is a real shame... I need to find some proper community servers.

Red Leader you are so wrong... if a guy is running if you nail the shots fluidly in the direction he is running you get a kill... its called leading bro :P (ok sometimes you can shoot behind where they just were, all depends on pings / tick rates etc) and its only when you place your shots you ever get kills... if u see a guy nailing an AK at you full on you can just stand there, crouch, aim and pop... his 27 rounds did naff and u pwn him with 1, then you get the "your hacking blah blah blah" I just take it as a compliment and own some more. Its the same with anything in the world, practice. CS has made me an awesome shot on any game as over time it totally changes your line of thinking.

If it haddnt have been for CS then I would have a whole lot more deaths and less kills over my score.

And at least on CS when you are new some servers will just give u a bit of lip for being dumb which you can easily ignore, now when your on BF2 holding a chopper above a carrier for repairs and your team snipe you out because they see fit that they should have it is just sooo ghay and on CS ppl dont stand for that at all, but on BF2 most people turn a blind eye until its them.

as in most things though its only a minority that spoil it for the masses.
