What is the point of being a commander if you get a score of 2 and a team score of -14 because they punish you for arty TK's? When I drop artillary I always warn them and tell them to check their maps. If I see the dumbass still running towards the barrage I warn them again. I used to like being a commander but not so much nowadays...

well honestly i dont like being TKed by arty. FF is completely stupid in this regard. It almost makes arty worthless cause it takes so long for it to get there after you fire it that you dont have any idea who is gonna be in range or not since it is so random. Basically if you dont want to TK anyone with arty either only drop arty way away from your team, which is kinda pointless or dont use it at all cause you will almost always TK someone with it. At the same time though, you arent helping the guys on the ground any by TKing them. Sigh, i freaking HATE lame FF. All it does it cause problems and i have to listen to people bitch about being TKed or being punished for TKing someone. Easy solution is to just turn the crap off. Just for the record, i punish for every single TK. People get made at me for punishing them, well i HATE being TKed. I very very rarely TK anyone so i dont put up with it. If you are gettin tired of being punished, complain to EA and get them to turn the damn FF off and everyone will be happy, and you can use the arty with no worries.Comment

I think when your the commander you should be immune to being punished its a simple as that the commander has alot to deal with and shouldnt have to worry about the Hummer full of men that drive into the art zone even though it tells you its coming and shows it on the map. Also the whole Tk system just sucks you get people that just run out in front of your tank like its nothing they dont stop on a dime and your field of vision is a bit small so you run them down and they punish you or the people that just lay down infront of the jet when you get and u cant see them so the punish you. The whole system need to be reworked there needs to be requirments on punishing not just people hiting page up all day.....and thats my rantComment

I agree, commanders should not be able to get punnished for people dying bt arty. They are given plenty of warning and if they dont see the big red arty gun on the map and dont hear the "artillery in your area" then they deserve to die. Im so sick of people punishing for it.Comment

No kidding! I think the majority of the auto-punishers are pre-adolescent snot-nosed little Snerts! Most Adults or Mature people do not punish for accidents. I am all for punishing the intentional tk'ers, but even that is not a worthy punishment for these A$$hats. But you know ... Kids WILL be kids. Nothing can be done with a game that has a TEEN rating. For all the adults who say they DO punish regardless of what reason. SHAME ON YOU !! LOSER!!! I think playing a war based FPS with FF off is the stupidest thing I ever heard. FF off is for people who have no skill or strategies. Casualties of war Happens! WAIT!! Let's put C4 all over our teammates Tank & let him drive down the street & one at a time, lets each detonate our c4 when he gets near the enemies. Good Grief! Yes, FF should definatly stay ON. With out it there will be too many people doin just that, suiciding, just to get the kills. That is why clans dont accept kids, they dont understand that people make accidents! Not every TK is intentional, and some people really need to learn this.Comment

Taking off the punish for commanders would also open up a host of new problems. Not saying its not a good idea... because I've been kicked mid game before for TK's (1 hummer and 1 lav driving ms. daisy into my barage).
I'm sure most of you have experience the idiot commander who just spams the mic and message binds until you turn your sound off. Can you imagine what it would be like if that same idiot had the power to drop arty on your own base without any recourse whatsoever? I know things like that are few and far between, but there is still the posibility of it, and that is just unsettling.Comment

Oh, and you say you very very rarely teamkill? According to your stats 1 of 20 (5%) people you kill is a teammate. This is a rather normal percentage, so you're not better than anyone else. Oh, and I doubt you'd enjoy being punished all those 352 times you've teamkilled - I bet half of them weren't even your fault!Comment

Yea thats true, i must admit, i havnt as yet come across a commander like this, but i can definatly imagine it happening, u dont do what he says, he drops arty on ur head. But then how to stop this punishing innocents, or worse, for example, running into arty or a tank and punishing for it. I thin the problem is that people abuse it, they need to be taught what is and isnt worthy os punishing. Maby Dice should put a limit on how many times you can punish in a certain length of time. This would make poeple only use them on real TK's and would hopefully limit the amount of stupid and annoying punising for accidents. What do you all think?Comment

I picked up around 40 kills with arty in one map, but my score was 4. There was always this one guy who came sprinting in to my arty strike whenever it came down...some sad loser who had nothing better to do than spend his time dying and punishing me for it...
I send the audio arty warning to nearby squads, I type "WATCH FOR THE ARTY!!!!" in team chat, and they still are oblivious.
