BF2 SUCKS Compared to Desert Combat

I would be happy if they had put the Lost Village map in BF2. I loved that map it was one of the best infantry maps I have played. Still we can't have everything we want in life. Love BF2 though, when I ever get the chance to play it. People won't leave me alone when I get home from work.

Got up to page 2 and couldn't be asked to read the rest :p Anyway I recalled people saying graphics are better in BF2 than DC... but of course they will be. BF2 is based on a different engine with better use of the latest graphic utilities, if DC were to do this they would have to re-write BF1942? This will be soon sorted out when Desert Conflict is released. From what I have seen the graphics will obviously match those in BF2 (as it is a mod) but improved gameplay. I don't mean to rant or offend anyone but those of us who have played DC and loved the way it played, and heli controls/playability we will all be up for a right treat!

Be patient as if DC is to be released at the same time as EA's expansion, I would rather play DC. My opinion - don't slander

I got no words what I think about you complainers, but DC people do you want DC, then play DCombat or DConflict when it launches. Oh and why play a game that suck or why do people even play games that suck, you dont need an IQ ov 150 to understand that, SOME PEOPLE LOVE THESE GAMES.

Oh and yeah, you all should stop complaining about Dice and EA and try make a game yourself. Probly some people will love it and some people will hate it, but isnt that what makes us humans:)

Funny seeing most guys/girls complaining about a game play it evryday. Have you evr thought about if all you DC guys who dont like BF2, just started playing DC instead right from the beginning when BF2 launched. If there was enough people going back to DC, EA and DICE where bound to notice if that happend and maybe they would have done something about it.

Oh and patches tend to change a game, since the patches usually reflect what the community want

Last but not least. You guys that feel that you shouldnt have bought the game, hmm wonder why they launched the demo before the game

I played a lot of DC and POE but I still enjoy playing BF2 a lot. Why do fan boys have to hate things that are not exactly like the thing they are a fan boy about? How about learning some new skills rather than wanting everything to remain exactly the same.

As for the whole DC chopper thing DC was pretty much a chopper whore’s paradise which allowed good chopper pilots to own the whole map. This is what a lot of the DC fan boys want again. They basically want things unbalanced so they can own and feel leet. It’s the same kind of mentality that wants sniper rifles to kill players if you shot them in the toe. Basically they don't give a crap about balance they whore a particular thing and want it is powerful as possible to enable large scores and bolster their fragile egos.

DC did a lot of things right though. Maps were great, infantry weapon power and accuracy was great and they had a vast amount of vehicles that although not alterring game play much did add a lot of variety. POE was really not far behind them but was not in development for anywhere near as long as DC so obviously the developers had not had chance to refine things as much.

Really as both mods are coming to BF2 I feel the fan boys should really just wait for these instead of slagging off BF2 constantly. It is a different game that is not to your tastes. Accept that.

Yeah they will in their own time... I originate from a long time play of DC and wished to play something different, BF2. At first was disappointing and was ranting and raving but the bugs were sorted and now happy as many are. However, DC players will go off playing DC in their own time. I have become comfortable with BF2 controls, playability and graphics are awesome and people will go off to play DC again when the mod is made which is able to compete against BF2 at its own level.

There is no doubt the community will split up when this mod is released, and of course everyone is entitled to their own opinion. You either love it or hate it.

Not ranting/abusing/complaining - simply posting my opinion.

I agree , 6 months time or so , it will be a split community which is fine . I cant wait to see what sort of mods will eventualy come to the fore but I think the likes of BF Pirates would be fun !!!

But you see thats the problem. When EA bought Trauma alot of people were lead to believe that BF2 would basically become an official DC2.

Yes BF2 if freakin great, but alot of us wished it would have kept or implemented more of DC or the idea's from DC into it.

aye i know what you mean i'm still reeling about them helo physics, DC's were perfect nothing wrong with them at all but we still have these chumpy BFV controls, and as for the artillary :P

What happened? I was under the impression that the guys from Desert Combat collaborated with EA to produce BF2. Is this correct?

It can't be, because Desert Combat had so much more stuff than BF2 has.

1. Bf2 has so many fewer types of vehicles.

Where's the scud?
Where's the MLRS?
Where's the minibird?
Where's just the average beat down car or tanker truck laying around?
Where's the ZSU?
The Vulcan?

2. Kits have fewer items.

No binoculars
Where's the damn Laser Designator we were promised?
Where's the shoulder launched anti-air?

3. Weapons are crap.

Anti-air missiles? Please.
.50 sniper rifle? No zoom and crap damage.
Light Machine Guns? Takes 400 rounds to kill someone.
Etc.

4. Bunny Hopping: Gay

5. Black Hawk can take up to 2 tank shots.

And the list goes on and on. Desert Combat was so superior to this game that it's difficult to imagine that the same people worked on both.

Nope. Check out Desert Conflict mod though. It'll pretty much be DC for BF2, I think.

Firstly I stopped saying "noob" in CS 1.3.

Second, You don't think that it sounds a bit strange for someone to come here and create a thread and have tons of complaints when you literally spent over 280 hours playing this so called "Lame Game". Do the math, he played over 11 days of this game!!

Not saying that 280 hours is playing too much. I just expect that if someone dedicated that much time and effort that there might be something about the game that they like?

I happened to LOVE the Trauma Studios' DC Mod
I also happen to LOVE BF2
I cannot wait for the DC Mod for BF2
Extra civilian vehicles sparsely located on maps were FUN!
But... The best part of DC?
