^ must quote you, lol. I like the fact that us PC gamers are adaptable. My brother plays on both console and PC and pwns on both, same here how come i got the hang of BF3 using jets on inverted and getting kills whilst my friend cant and he has been a console since PS3 launch.

It's just too much to them. that is why a Battlefield player can easily pick up on cod and play even not liking the game very much and still do good, while the other way around it just wont work

Yeah i hear you Stevo, thing is in Bahrain the PC components are cheap as they are immediately converted from US dollars to Dinars and they cost nothing. Anyways the point of this thread is that there has been a lot of hate stemming from consoles and i just cant cope with it at times.

I know it sucks to not be able to play with friends, i am one of them, but you know playing online w/out friends is not that bad, i ahve been having some great BF sessions the past week, and specially with this new patch.

i know who he's talking bout and to tell u the truth the first minute i got bf3 i couldn't breath i just joined and i am a cod and battlefield veteran thanks to my bro. I just suck at customizing pcs but am learning. Just to add on my bro's dilemma i have xbox friends that told me that bf3 sucked they were cod fanboys but they werent like my bro 's friend they listened to reason and thank god i converted them to bf3 and now i have a full squad and enjoying every second of bf3. Hopefully my bro will help me with customizing pcs and i'll be a full pc gamer and start playing everything on pc.

Flying is easy, dogfighting maneuvers are the ones that take training. An yeah I assume within time he will warmup to the game. Thanks for your thoughts guys.

As for the jets, im just glad they fixed the flight look even though you have to "invert" it to have up beign up and down being down.

Just give him time and he will probably figure it out. If he has never played a Battlefield game before, it is understandable that he doesn't really know what is going on.

But to be truthful, some people just don't like figuring out new games and stick to the ones they are good at.

What learning curve? They are about at difficult to fly as the tanks are to drive.

Being a master in them takes some skill though.

The cockpit sound is a breathing technique pilots use to stop blacking out at high speeds. I only know that because Mythbusters did an episode about it and Adam passed out like a little girl while trying to do the technique.

The thing is that they dont do it all the time, just in those instances of high g's, so I dont know whats going on.

Exactly. The guy still thinks that all parts should cater to EVERYONE. Though I find Jets hard at the moment possibly due to lag... Though does anyone else get the feeling that the inside of the cockpit sounds like a porno or something? Thats the only way I can describe the sound...

Personally, I believe that learning curves are a dying breed, what with all the "Press 5 to Automatically kill shit" after 5 kills, and "Press 5 to win entire game and finish it pre maturely" after another 20.

Thanks for the comments, some interesting ones. Thing is its not that hard, my 14 year old brother plays the game on both platforms as well as he is a 1942 vet he plays really good on both systems and is a team player and he is 14! but my friend likes to insult the game somehow, when i bought BFBC2 on both PS3 and PC i took the PS3 version to his flat (as mines was back home while i am in university( and i played there, then whilst playing the campaign during the WW2 mission where the marines would dive in the grass to avoid an enemy patrol he complained that it is too similar to CoD4's campaign where you and McMiillan would go prone to avoid Russian patrols.

I mean really he has no basis here, as well as i told him BF started before cod, it launched the modern warfare series before CoD and that it has mainly been about multiplayer.

I am hoping he regains conscious and play the game a little further, i played it not 2 hours and got the hang of it quick on a sixaxis no less.

And i did show him TDM, yet he complained about the difficulty as if i just handed him ArmA2 for crap sake. Anyways i am going for the weekend with the uni for a dumb trip rather than kicking ass in BF3 so i will post back later.

I just dont know why console people have to hurt, i would like a one on one with him on my PC so i can kill streak him, then again if he played battlefield on my PC well i guess you can all figure that out hint graphics hint game play.


Avalanche: BF is not about KDR buddy as much as it is about teamwork, skill, and bleeding the enemy tickets effectively, i won many battles playing yesterday doing just that, engineer in a tank i was very effective got at least 3 KO's on tanks. defended points, its so much fun that you will forget about KDR, i have seen people with low KDR but high scores because of their contribution i.e. engineer points, medics and the like.

I too sucked at BF2 when i first started playing MP, but after several rounds i honed my skills, best classes engie and medic

Unfortunately, Battlefield games are very hard to play online.

Even basic things have to be learned the hard way.

I converted from COD to Battlefield and, boy, my KDR went as bad as 0.5 at the beginning.

Well, a little bit of both. I dont know the guy or the full situation, just what Eagle mentioned. To hate a game that fast because its too complex seems strange. Its easy for me to say though because I hated 1942 the first time I played it because I felt you died to easy.
