I'll disagree with you, but I did REALLY enjoy the atmosphere that 2142 had and would most definitely be excited about a sequel. As for the music, all BF games(except BFV I believe) are based off of BF1942's sound track. I was so pumped when I heard BF3's version when the first trailer came out. Its what brings the whole BF experience together me thinks! Here is the original for those who never played BF42-

Well, I pretty much only played on 4 different servers throughout my BF2142 gaming years. My clan server with rotating conquest maps, a 24/7 Suez Canal Titan server, and 2 other clan servers that rotated, one conquest, one titan.

Teamwork made the game fun. I would have quit long ago without my amazing clan.

yea except it was glitchy, buggy, and very hackable. the game was good but the community of exploiters and annoying things like server crashing took a lot of fun out of it. i still play it though. hehe

    I agree with you Mini.

That was really probably the best Battlefield game gameplay wise. Keep in mind I haven't played BF:V or BF1942, but I've played every title from BF2 on up.

The leader system, the HUD, the classes, the maps, the music, everything seemed so perfect.

damn that 2142 BF theme sounds bad ass
it could just be me cuz i played it so much but that theme fits the futuristic ice world setting perfectly...

i also think 2142 had the best map loading scores.

Wow! I forgot how much I absolutely love BF soundtracks.

What a fantastic score! I wish this were BF3's soundtrack but a little remixed. I can't think of many other game themes I've liked so much. I think Crysis is my second favorite though.

I'm still waiting to find out who the composer is. The last BF game that the composer who did BF2 did was 2142 I believe. Both the Bad Company's were done by someone else. I didn't really like the score from BC.

but even then, it's not very good. it's not even close to how original vietnam did the radio.
Yeah, the jeep and tuktuk doesnt make noise. Its the tanks, helis, and water patrol vehicle. Mine is the P key, but you should be able to switch channels and turn it off, except for the heli, which is always on.

And yeah, they are not the great songs that DICE said they would be, but some crazy remakes of something.

It could be map based instead. For Metro you could play French Techno.

The old battlefield tunes always get me going. Not really into this new loud static noise. Give me the good old battlefield drums anyday.

Yep there was some tunes, just not "real" tunes of the 70' like in BF:V.
