Re: To all the whiners about how OP choppers are.
I prefer the SRAW in BF2. Maybe because it changed directions quicker but I could take out helicopters and sometimes jets but not with the AT4 in this game.
And Lawl to the squadmates commenting on the helicopter destruction.

yer I like to hug the water as well on Valdez then follow the shore and get behind the enemy position
sort of hard with the brick handling but its a good method of attackLeave a comment:

Re: To all the whiners about how OP choppers are.
For instance using the Apache on Defender on Port Valdez. There are the mountains to your left, next to the street that infantry funnel through. This and the area next to the water is where you are most likely to get darted from. I use these mountains for cover (line of sight) against getting darted. You can peek over and around to unload your rockets, and give your gunner a 3-5 second window to rack up kills. Staying all the way on the back hovering above the road will let you say away from AA and darts. Hope that explains it, i had a few screw drivers today and im feeling pretty tore up :)Leave a comment:

Re: To all the whiners about how OP choppers are.
what is "LINE of Sight for the Pilot??"competent pilot using line of sight, and 1 competent gunner using improved optics will still destroy anything on the map.Leave a comment:

Re: To all the whiners about how OP choppers are.
the helis aren't that hard to fly, the skill comes from survivability more than anything, a very low ceiling for flight, paper thin armour
you have to fly for the gunner sure, but a strafing run with the missiles can kill plenty of people, especially juicy grouped up squads
but the CG is still for heathen devils
BF3 should have a veterans program where you get "NOOB" after your name if you have a platinum on the Gustav in BC2Leave a comment:

It rapes armor, excessively, and without hesitation.Originally posted by YosterI NEVER see people using AT4, it seems like such a great weapon...Leave a comment:

Re: To all the whiners about how OP choppers are.
That is true, and if they balanced it to take out choppers it would most likely be too powerful against tanks.Originally posted by =MNKY=FrostyIf all you had to do was keep a chopper in the crosshair then the AT4 would be stupidly OP.
I would prefer if they left the AT4 alone and gave us a new dedicated AA weapon.
Look at the SAAW from BF2142:
*AA only, so you wouldn't get lit up by every Engineer on the map.
*Requires constant line-of-sight, so pilots can escape by using terrain, but are prevented from dominating the battlefield from safe distance
*Two-shot kill, so pilots have time to react
*Pretty user-friendly.
*Portable, so pilots don't start each round by knocking out the known AA positions
It is designed for a different game with much bigger map and higher ceiling, but the principles behind are sound.Leave a comment:

Pilot = SupportOriginally posted by TampaEdit: you must not have played BF2 before the Blackhawks were nerfed. They were absolute beasts, hence why they were nerfed into nothing but a flying coffin. Anyone that played in the 1st version of BF2 will tell you the Blackhawk was the most OP vehicles in game behind the J10. Blackhawk+Engineers+Mashtuur = GG for you.
Gunners = Medics
3 slots in the back = Engineers
Flying around dropping mines everywhere like little blackhawk turds and repairing whenever any damage was taken. It was a giant point farming machine that could cap a main flag in just a few seconds time. I used to always play 32 player maps and on Songhua when I was Chinese I would take the T98 and just wait on the road near the main for the BHs to come by and then blast them. 6 easy kills. I also remember one time the US had both BHs in the air and they were fully manned, leaving a total of four people on the ground to contend with our team and they were, not surprisingly, easy pickings for all the APCs we had rolling around. The BHs kept flag hopping so eventually our team wised up and put 2-3 APCs on each flag and just waited. We capped them all then finished off the two BHs for the cap out. One of my most memorable BF2 moments. :)Leave a comment:

Re: To all the whiners about how OP choppers are.
If anything the blackhawk needs it's guns buffed up a bit, i think it's easier to get a kill with the UAV mini gun than the blackhawks and with only 3 map areas including every game mode offering an attack chopper they dont become a factor, especially with the speed of the darts. being able to use countermeasures should help allot. i wonder what genius decided to design a battlefield game where only 1 conquest map has attack choppers, and only 2 of them and none have transports.....Leave a comment:

Re: To all the whiners about how OP choppers are.
Choppers in this game I feel are actually a lot more vulnerable in comparison to other BF games.
Now it doesn't take much to take one down (unlike BF2142 and Bf2). I haven't played the first BFBC game.
Pretty much Tracer dart + chopper = boomLeave a comment:

I know what you are saying. Once the smoke works after this patch, it will be a different story.Originally posted by MatTheCatCompared with BF2.....BC2 choppers are 100% n00b. No skill required, only tactical knowledge. In BF2, a good chopper/gunner combo spent an entire round on the very edge of thier seats, even when they go the whole round without dying and racking up 50 kills. In BC2, it is just about knowing the right thing to do, but when you get tagged then your down....end off.
Utter crap really.
I have to say, look up RaW Clan for Ps3 and tell me they are crap there. They are the sole reason why we had the tracer dart buff in the first place. Mainly check out Instigator_RaW stats for Ps3. I know console are a different story, but thats what will be happening once PC choppers are fixed.
