So your system should be fine. Your low FPS is related to your server side or anything you have running in the background related to the internet. Lets see if the R9 update will help you.

I avg 25-30+ fps in single player. I feel the lag in multi.

I know at bear minimum you want 30 and up, could this driver be causing my lag?

Side note, I am running DX9, low graphic settings and headphones for audio, bloom is set to false, AA is off, and my FOV is 75.

Has Nvidia come out with a (fixed) newer update than the one released when this thread was written?

Im surprisd everyone is having all these issues. Nvidia went through this huge process after the last problem with their other drivers. I dont know what ATIs deal is. I left them years ago because their drivers were always crap. I mean, to have the SLI issues after this patch is suppose to improve that very function.

When I update my video drivers, I usually uninstall everything first then install all the new stuff. I even uninstall the nvidia tools. I do not run SLI and I dont really adjust too many settings other than fan speeds.

If you are not having issues, it sounds like you should wait until the next release.

Yeah, I wish I had tested it before letting my clan know about it. I'm almost always the guy with the news in my clan, so they all followed my links to the latest drivers. At least I saved them from the ones that made certain cards practically catch fire!

I have my strange issue, two guys don't have SLI anymore, ATI guys still have long load times in anything but DX9, one guy with a 4870 is having hard locks while playing.

    Fun times.
I think I will pass on this driver update.

In case you haven't been reading, ATI's drivers have been causing issues with BFBC2 as well.
