Thanks, yeah just found it. They used smoke nades how they're supposed to be used. Also, did you guys notice how lots of enemies just walked through the smoke and didn't see them? That's what I was talking about, they can't see as far as you can in the smoke. It's amazing.

As for me, I've used it twice, but did get a kill with it and that was pretty cool.
    Link?

The smoke grenade is very useful. I HATE when people use it against me, it creates total confusion and chaos. If two people with ammo boxes spams smoke grenades at the enemy line, it's very easy for the attacking team to infiltrate.

Not only that, it grants you "immunity" from spotting when coming out of the smoke. Dust from an explosion will remove a spot mark, but won't keep you from getting spotted again when it clears. So you can noobtube the ground in front of you; the vertical wall of debris will keep snipers or spotters from targetting you while it's on the air and cleans; same for rockets.

Note for hardcore testing: I have noticed smoke only removes the spot if you walk IN it, it won't remove the marks for targets behind the smoke.

The smoke nade can also remove tracer darts from vehicles; it must have some sort of chemical that interferes with electronics.

I wouldnt know since you didnt specify and people go off topic all the time. For all I know you were meaning to put your post in another of the many threads with tips in them and got it mixed up.

Since there is no oxy-clean unlock in BC2, I guess you are being sarcastic?

The smoke should give you LOTS of cover. Could deffinently have a greater radius of coverage. Thats in my opinion of course, but still.

You can't see through it, but you can see more when inside of the smoke than your enemy can, if that makes any sense. Just using random numbers here, but say you can see the enemy from 3 feet away and they can see you from 1 foot away. This gives you a nice advantage when inside your own smoke.

    Re: Smoke Grenades

I can see L-iNC's point about the spam but all they would need to do is limit ammo resupplies to 1 per assualt kit and this would solve that. It's not as if you really need more than 1 anyway and if necessary they could just make it for hardcore mode if people were that bothered. Only assualt have smoke grenades anyway so its not as if everyone would be spamming them. They may need to shorten the lifespan of an ammo box as well or make it so that only x amount of grenades can be resupplied from one.

If they are going to have them in the game then make them useful. Otherwise just get rid of them because at the moment almost no one uses them anyway.
