Yeah, actually I was. It seems to have about 1/3 the content and capabilites that BF2 did, and the (planned) price somewhat reflects that.

Simply, you cannot judge a game on a trailer. You cannot judge a game on single descriptions like "unlimited ammo".
You cannot judge a game by its name. And finally you cannot fully judge a game by its predecessor. BF2142 is totally different to BF2.
The whole purpose of a trailer and game descriptions are to get you interested in playing and buying the game. Trailers put their best foot forward, and game descriptions are written in a way so as to entice people to purchase the product. What we know so far is that this is a highly consolised version of a BF-style game, with less than half as many players possible per map, unlimited ammo and regenerating health (so no support or medic troopers), and every class being able to destroy vehicles. You no longer have to rely on others to fill your weak points on the battlefield because you can do it all yourself, thereby eliminating the need for much of the teamwork from the other BFs.

And while BF2142 is indeed different than BF2, there are many similarities that make it obvious it's part of the mainstream BF franchise.

Well, have they or haven't they? Make up your mind.

Similarly to you having no idea whether they will be good games. Please stop telling everyone to stop complaining simply because they don't share your blind fanboi optimism. They have a right to voice their displeasure as much as you do to bend over and take whatever you're given.

The fact is that what was announced (BF1943) wasn't that at all, and it remains to be seen what we can expect from BC2. It's not really fair to expect the fans to mess themselves with excitement over the announcement of a game that is essentially 1/3 of what BF2 was.

If DICE were to announce today that they're making a BF3 that's in the tradition of BF1942/BF:V/BF2/BF2142 then I guarantee you'd have far more :yay: than .

Yup, I agree. Even though I perfer modern warfare I would still be happy with a WW2 BF game that fits the specifications that the majority wants. It's BF1943's specs that annoy me, not the setting it's in.

Screw Modern warfare! That is so repetitive, boring, innane. Man, I have played over 200 hours of Battlefield 2 before ditching it for the infinetly better Battlefield 2142, and let me tell you, Battlefield 2 is mess compared to 2142.

Battlefield 2142 team actually used their brain when they created everything in the game, instead of actually just copying things from the present.

Frontlines is also a good example of future warfare done right(Battlefield 2142 did that too).

Problem with Frontlines, is that it is not futuristic enough.

Well I'm sick of history hence why I did not buy Cod5. I want an updated BF2 modern warfare game damnit and so do most others! The fact is someone over @ DICE/EA is failing to do there research on there customers more carefully.

And I absolutely refuse this BS of having to buy a consol to continue a game I initially found on the PC. Infact, what other BF seriies have been on the consol? To my knowledge, none. Now why is it that Cad Company is exclusively only for Xbox? Because EA made a deal with Microsoft probably. All it comes down to is maximizing $$$ in there eyes, not the consumers.

Newho this is my first and last post about this crap. I don't care for gossip much but for people who like to carry it on, try to look outside of the box once and a while.
Welcome to a forum where gossip is talked about and debated.

6.80 billion people around the world, this forum is a spec in its rear. To my point, everyone here might want modern warfare, everyone else might want world war 2, in my own opinion, i like WW2 games, i love the history to them, the story, the facts. I'm looking forward to some WW2 dog fights where they are pretty same advantage, let alone this missle lock stuff today, you want modern warfare fair enough, you'll just have to wait abit longer.

Also to say BF2142 was a huge failure a fair deal of people play the game so i disagree with that, there will be a BF2143 i guarandamntee it, because you don' like it doesn't mean the 6.80 billion other people don't.

    Mmkay pumpkin

Have you thought BF1943 is a test phase game? they're testing to see if it works? And think of the chronological order of BF games.

    BF1942
    BF2
    BF2142

The next game you see will be BF1943 bang on target, after that the almighty BF3 will be released, then BF2143, get my drift?

I'll put my bottom Fiver on that, better yet i put my bottom Twenty on this, When BF3 is released....Everyone will dislike it....Know why? Because of this big hype around it, life just does not live up to the hype, COD 5 Showed us that.
