Just because one or 2 games have had that effect, does not mean every game will. DICE have not created a bad game in the BF series. Have some faith.

BF:BC2 perhaps is BF3. Its modern day is it not? Same as BF2. Itll have an upgraded graphics engine and completely destroyable terrain. Little more is known about it i think.
Or does BF3 to you mean a non console game? If this is the case why is it so important?
On a console note, DICE have never released a multi platform game in the past. This means you have nothing to go on to see what it will be like for the pc.
So please state WHAT IS THE PROBLEM???

Originally posted by TheGameArtistBut your talking crap again arnt you, you watched a video and read some text and now you think you've got the whole thing mapped. Damn it man, stop with the BF2 camparing, how many glitches does BF2 have? Answer Crap loads, its a poor excuse for an engine...
And correct me if I'm wrong here, but did you not watch the same videos and read the same text as I did? All we can go off of is the information we've been given and compare it to what we already know (past BF games). What we know is there are fewer classes, fewer maps, less need for teamwork, and fewer players. Aside from newer graphics and destructible environments, how will this be any better than even BF1942, much less BF2?
And what do BF2's glitches have anything to do with this game? Are you saying this game will be bug-free?
Originally posted by TheGameArtistHave you like sat and thought for more than 30 seconds to think...hang on, maybe theres a reason why things are being planned like they are...No you haven't you just type whatever comes into your head, you read aload of crap and follow it like a lemming, almost everyone here seems to be like that, whats going on, do people just not think for themselves anymore...
And you call us lemmings.
Originally posted by TheGameArtistStop your b!tching and moaning all of you, simple solution... don't play the game, don't even mention it ever again, you said you arnt interested, fair enough, why you still talking about it then? Why are you specifically in the BF1943 area moaning when most of you said your not bothered and you'll never play it...

Really look at the bigger picture.

BF2 is poor, and its poor for a reason, more than likely its because of all that content you bang on about, BF2 fun game whilst it was in its day, but then the moaning started, patch after patch came rolling out and the moaning got louder...

Originally posted by WolfAlmighty View PostThe whole purpose of a trailer and game descriptions are to get you interested in playing and buying the game. Trailers put their best foot forward, and game descriptions are written in a way so as to entice people to purchase the product. What we know so far is that this is a highly consolised version of a BF-style game, with less than half as many players possible per map, unlimited ammo and regenerating health (so no support or medic troopers), and every class being able to destroy vehicles. You no longer have to rely on others to fill your weak points on the battlefield because you can do it all yourself, thereby eliminating the need for much of the teamwork from the other BFs.
Originally posted by WolfAlmighty View PostAnd while BF2142 is indeed different than BF2, there are many similarities that make it obvious it's part of the mainstream BF franchise.
What is the same? Types of maps. Vehicals. Classes are similar. Gameplay looks very similar from trailer.
If you ask me this looks very similar to its predecessor.
Originally posted by WolfAlmighty View PostWell, have they or haven't they? Make up your mind.
Originally posted by WolfAlmighty View PostSimilarly to you having no idea whether they will be good games. Please stop telling everyone to stop complaining simply because they don't share your blind fanboi optimism. They have a right to voice their displeasure as much as you do to bend over and take whatever you're given.

People still saying that? Companies reuse engines all the time.
