I've only played the beta this far but shotguns for short range and bolt action for medium ranges.

I would have to say my favorite class is the bolt action rifles.

Submachine guns for assaulting in a urban/close quarters map. Rifle for medium/long range maps when assaulting. For defending The BAR with a Bi-pod is quite nice, If you set up on a good street, and have a couple buddies watch your flanks, you can just sit, wait, and unleash your fury. Though sometimes the rifles are good for defense too, if your moving around a lot.
