i use it but voted for "i like pie".

i think it removes the weapon slider thing on the right when you swap weapons

That's "quick weapon switch" under keyboard>advanced.

I use it not only because it clears more space & takes out the unnecessary wording, but because it just plain looks nicer.

Once you get used to the Minimal HUD, it's hard to go back.

The bigger version looks horrible once you get used to minimum HUD, try it!

it doesn't remove the weapon slider, it shrinks the large shapes encompassing the numbers on screen (ie your bullets and health).

I don't use it. Though I do like it when you're spectating with it you don't get the widescreen-esque bars.
