How many ladders and teams are in GA now? You guys seem to have some great players and it looks like good competition in Australia.

It's also neat you use custom maps, I have never heard of The Hell being in any kind of league.

One Battlefield 2142 ladder with 40-50 teams and two or three bf2 ladders one with 60, one with 20 and I'm not sure about the other. There is also a 16v16 bf2 comp being run through the ga forums at the moment I think.

There's just the one ladder that runs 8v8 no unlocks which has a bit over 40 teams.

The change to no unlocks for this season has meant the return of some good teams

There was also a tournament titled Bfmasters which was an invite only money comp run by netGameRadio (where the bf2 patch news came from) featuring 4 of the best teams.

Bf in Australia seems to be going good now with netGameRadio providing a second bfmasters for Bf2 with $8000 in cash and prizes, which is pretty good for a 3 year old game.

huh what are you talking about? i insulted dice because they listened to fans? when? all i said was that their standards for community map selection wasn't set very high by including wake. shingles on the other hand is a quality map though.

actually a lot of vanilla 2142 maps were uphill uneven fights for the PAC having to fight uphill from a single uncap flag. of course it is easy to sneak via vehicle to the back bases, but still maps don't have to be even at start.

anyways, i can't speak for these maps since i haven't played them but if they allow such maps as wake to be included with a patch, i can't say the standards are very high at the moment. so maybe there's hope for other community maps.

You need to take into account if it's not one sided, is there a Flag that's way too hard for a side to take ETC.

actually Zero1 and Hamburg harbour were just released a week or 3 ago so

Zero1 has been in the GA ladder for a while now... Also cCologne has been for a while now as well.

anyhow, exteme realism mod is going to have them in the next release..... :thumbsup:

When you take into account how much thought NEEDS to go into a Map you might realize it( But i can't say too much about the Maps as i've never messed with them), You need to take into account if it's not one sided, is there a Flag that's way too hard for a side to take ETC.
