glitchy on terrain?

I just started playing BF2 again, and I notice that when I walk up a curb or hill (also applies to down) my gun acts weird and like goes in and out of sprint. I never noticed this before. Is there anyway to fix this as it really annoys me, or is it just BF2

Try reducing your Terrain/texture detail in video settings.

Kinda hard to say but i just think its BF2.
