Clicked multiplayer. and it says iwmp3.exe has stopepd working..it says that even on vista...i have no idea what it is..i have tried updating punkbuster but whenever i run the app to update pb it crahses...SP runs perfectly without any hitches..just as soon as i click the icon for mp i get black screen then it returns to the desktop and says it has stopepd working....any ideas?

I'm getting the same problem when ever i try to launch MP. I figured it was just vista being vista. I've tried unistalling/reinstalling/patching but it still giving me the same error. >.<

Yeah. reinstalling again hopefully it will work this time.

Reinstalling doesn't seem to do anything. I tried copying a friends file and patching that didn't work either. then i realized my file is iw3mp.exe so tried renaming it and neither iw3mp or iwmp3 worked. Thought it could be the installer cause I've noticed the finish menu pops up b4 the bar is 100% and after that the bar stops moving, but I've installed it on another computer b4 and the mp worked fine. I have no idea why its not working anyone have any ideas? oO

To narrow it down, shut down ALL your background applications that you do NOT need. (No, you dont NEED TS, vent, or Xfire). See if it starts working. If not, shut down the stuff you may need.

Examples of stuff to shut off:
            Software firewalls
            Ventrillo
            TeamSpeak
            Xfire
            Virus scanners
            Spyware scanners
            Mouse/Keyboard software (Logitech setpoint)
            CDBurning software (Nero, Alcohol)

Usually when an exe is not working, its because something is conflicting with it.

                  rename the archive mssmp3.asi for mssmp3.bak in C:\Program Files\Activision\Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare\miles
