Listen servers

Ok guys i can't find anything at all on this lets experiment a little bit here please!

ok well as you bing up your call of duty 4 multiplayer game you notice in the menu's theres an option for you to start your own server. now has anyone at all had any luck with this. if so please give me and other users a hand. i make a server and no one can join it. i'm trying to make a movie which requires me to remove my hud and it dosn't work on internet servers.

so yes please help.

The start server is local only (to your network). If your friends are on the same network as you (in your house) then you can do it that way.

Thats bu11$h1t... I host listen servers and all my friends can join it over console /connect xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx (ip).

thanks for the reply. i'm trying to make an internet server but i no it can be done. now can somone please give a step by step guide on how to do it?
