Changing NPC names???

Does anyone know if you can change the NPC names that appear above the computer heads? If anyone remembers "Scorched Earth" (the old tank v tank game) you know how much fun it is when you are doing single player. I'd really appreciate any help on the subject, I cant find stuff on it anywhere. Please e-mail me if you don't mind. I don't know my way around this site very well yet.

program files/ea games/battlefield 2/mods/bf2/ai/ai_default.con

i think its ai_default, but it might be another one in that folder

and i'd back up the originals just incase

ok, tried that. Looks like an "AI" file which the cpu tells me is Adobe Illustrator, which apparently costs $599 from the adobe website. Any other way maybe? I can't open the AI file. Thanks

the file name is botnames, self explantory, and like camper said notepad will open it.

in fact notepad is my #1 modding tool
