Re: Static or Rotating Minimap?
No, your icon is always in the same place. It just moves in the direction you facing.

Rotating would be good for jets, but I use static.Leave a comment:

You're always in the center of the static one too, it's just that the 'V' that represents your field of vision rotates instead of the map.Leave a comment:

Re: Static or Rotating Minimap?
Im using rotating one. Ever since I set it to that setting 2 years ago I never went back. Reason is simple- youre always in the center of the minimap. Its extremely good to orientate around while youre flying a jet and it doesnt get confusing when you turn a lot, also- its a lot more natural to keep track of.Leave a comment:

Static or Rotating Minimap?
Hey, I'm new to Battlefield and I was just curious which mini map option most of the more experienced players prefer.
I left it on the default (static) for the first week or so that I played, but the other day I decided to try it out the other way (rotating).
It seems to me that it is easier to keep track of where you are on a map with the still version, but it's easier to keep track of where the red and blue dots are in relation to you with the rotating map.
Since I am getting pretty familiar with most of the maps I play on regularly, I've decided to keep it on rotating.
Which do you use?Tags: None
