mine are

1# All Bases Open
All bases are open for attack including carriers. If you don't want to be raped, defend.
2# No Glitching
Do not get in any walls or buildings.
3# No Team Killing
Do not intentionally kill or wound team mates.
4# No Cheating/Exploits
No aimbots, wallhacks, esp, commander hacks, etc.
5# No Destroying Team Assets
Do not destroy your teams ARTY, UAV or Satellite Trailer.
6# No Stat Padding
Any form of stat padding is not allowed.
7# No Forcing TK
Do not stand under in front of or behind of anything to force a tk.



Everyone gets 3 warnings, after the third they get kicked, if they return and continue to disrupt or do the same crap they get a temp. ban.

Perm ban on all padding, glitching or any exploits.

Agree on everything, except make it one kick, then ban. No autobalance, ping kick at 200, and no IO.

Once your a dA member your garanteed a good time...Infact I can actually garantee you points lol...So come onto our ventrilo and join an always full ranked bf2 64 man server today!!!!!!

The best servers are ones not ran by clans, most clans will abuse the rules and kick people so they can fly air vehicles, if you fly jet too slow they will even kick you for that.

I like servers that don't allow you to attack uncaps, we all know its a pain to shoot down jets when they can fire long before you can get a lock on.
Server i hate are ones that say "we pay so you can play" which is total bull crap, they pay for the servers so they have a place to play and can kick anyone they want.

You got to love christians servers that spam bible quotes, seems lots of games have them these days, it cracks me up.

Server held by a hardcore gaming community with mature and fun guys on the lead with a reasonable sense of initiative. Through that, they create minumum set of good rules to keep the game going, instead of changing the face of the game.

Servers held by these communities are undoubtedly the best. Even an as5hole like me can be a pussycat and enjoy a great gaming fest lasting hours with people described above.

No attacking whats under the red circle with the line through it in vehicles. Like the airfield on Oman (64 player) where the SU and MIG spawn. The MI-28pad is fair game. Carrier is off limits for vehicles. Period. People are there to have fun, not get raped for 20 minutes. It's **** for some maps (Sharqi) but it's only one map.

And the usual kick/ban for TK'ing for vehicles standing infront of planes etc. Perma-bans for glitching, stat padding.

Ive read everyones ideas, not bad. I guess Ill post mine they are simple.

Server rules scrol by in the in game message window during the game. Rules are inforced for everyone. The server is ran the same 24/7. What more can you ask than that? The rules are posted and you can read them plus they scrol by during the game. The rules are inforced! Everyone, even clan members, can be booted for breaking the rules. If anyone doesnt like the server rules they shouldnt be there anyway. I think thats the most fair way to run a server.

So if there isnt a rule against spawn camping, arty on the carrier, rapeing the uncap, stacked teams, or cussing you should expect it to happen. If you know this in advance haveing it happen is your problem and no one elses. If you still stay on the server after it happens, then why complain. If you dont like it just find a server that doesnt allow that kind of thing. (By the way I dont like some of the things I mentioned and avoid some servers for that reason) Thats my take on server rules but thats just me. . . . . . . . . .Red

However I don't play ranked BF2 that much anymore because I hate all the stupid server rules that are designed only protect and shelter less competent players form those of us who like to play aggressively.

With that said my best advice to you is to use the KISS or “Keep it Simple Stupid" method of admining a server.

Don't overload your server with a bunch of stupid rules that are at best difficult to enforce when an admin is on let alone when no admin is there as too may rules will only lead to a great deal of smack talk and fighting between the players when no one is on to referee them. :shakehead
