As I recall, they were getting out of hand with size fonts and colors. Guess they just wanted to have a clean interface. Might have been more too it, but basically that was it.

Its against the ROE or whatever the new rules for BF2 are. dont get quick to bring politics into this nobody asked you about your opinions and frankly I dont care. THEY ARE NOT ALLOWED BECAUSE YOU HAVE TO HACK CORE FILES.

originally, the orange names were intended for admin use, to distinguish admin from guests....since everyone started doing this in their vain attempt to stand out, and be different, the intended purpose had been defeated, rendering it useless.....ppl only do it because they wanna be different, or because they think it makes them '1337'

I thought they got rid of it because it made it easier to spot people and that gave some an unfair advantage.
