Dont take that as an insult. Im just saying that theres no instant wizard magic in the stick. It just opens up more possibilities, but still needs sh!tload of work.

That's what I do as often as possible. Covering up bombers and bomb myself. Though without no communication

Thanks for clearing that up chris about the joystick dead zones settings, I left out a part of my post, I was a little distracted at the time writing it.

I forgot to say, you MIGHT want to set the dead zones a little high only at the start, but once you get used to it, then reduce it as much as you can tolerate once you get adjusted to flying. Initially you will smack trees, poles, antenae helos, buildings and of course the ground if you dont have anydead zones set but the trade off is you will be used to flying that way sooner, slowly tapering the dead zone down probably means a longer learning period but you will be proficient sooner for battle, I just wanted to clarify what I said, earlier. The profiler software does make a big difference for the Logitech Extreme 3d pro, youll want to click on each axis in the picture until you get the options to pop up then adjust, the profiler needs to be loaded each time you play the game or it wont actually be working, youll notice the difference when it's on... trust me, the help file that comes with the profiler software is actually helpfull and try using that for most of your questions, there is one for sensitivity in the help section of the profiler that will tell you exactly where to go to adjust it, hope that helps :)

Here is a picture of my "climbing spiral" don't know if this is even near correct term but my picture may clear it a bit. ( Okay no work for me in McDonnel, allright :) )

Somehow I have found other players, even in J-10s, having hard time getting lock at me when performing this. They either undercompensate or overcompensate their steering and lock gets broken. This doesn't work is enemy is targeting from far, but from close to medium distance it works pretty well. After hitting 700-800ft, then it's possible to do that famous stratorun.

You still think it's not good?

Roger that... maybe I've survived those times because of unexperienced pilots.

Anyways, that split S I've been using seems to be too well known for many players and I was getting shot down too often with it. Do you metallica have any new ideas to share. I mean it's quite regular to got locked in low altitudes and it takes a lot of time to climb that 500ft before having possibility to do the run. To make that run I also need my afterburners to be charged...

Any ideas but keepeing out of low alt???

er it does if you flare at the right time and you can get the height you need.

more interesting than just flying straight up like you do everytime you hear a beep

                        Heres what and why.

People will have a hard time following that spiral when they cut into your turn. But pilots that will make a longer turn to adjust their path with the contrails, rather than cut in, will have a perfect lock on you. Also, people might create some distance between you and themselves, thats also a nice missile lock opener.

the same can be said of any move, you just need to pick the one that fits the best at the time.

Well, thats kind of stating the obvious, dont you think? He was asking for a reason why the move wouldnt work, and thats the first answer.

Yep, and by tightening the radius while going up you may get flares giving you another cover moment in the next circle. Anyhow I'm not a pro as Chris and metallica and many others are but I'm open to any suggestions for a better move.

By the way, what is the best moment for releasing the flares, do I have to wait until I see missile launch or is it safer to release right after steady tone? I may be a bit gambler but I like to play a little time and wait a few moments after enemy has obtained a lock. Suck's if they are close but helps if they are a bit further. I have seen people making somekind of trick a moment before missile hits and that makes missiles just bouncing of from the plane (never with F35B but others, yep) Is there something to seek for or has it been just luck?

I tried that a few time and have gotten away. Seen missiles go everywhere and by the time the enemy has a tone I am 750+ hitting after burners going towards 800+
