imo bf 2142 has potential. if u took the interestng aspects of the game such as active camo, walkers, TITANS (i dont care WHO you are those things are awsome) and merged it with the proven gameplay of bf2 then it could work out.

BF2 is better although I have not played 2142 BF2 is way better since from what I have heard is that BF2142 is a bit glitchy

most game are when they come out...lets hope that when 2142's trun for patch 1.3 rolls around...it wont be sooo HORRIBLE

that was like the bf2 gamers holocaust who know how many peope abandoned bf2 cas they thought it was their computer, i thought it was mine, i had bout the game during 1.3 dark reign

Anyway back on topic, i heard that 2142 was bad and i saw a sniping video where one of the ehadshots didnt kill(some bug itll be patched soon)
but im going to try it for myself ill probably like both equally the same way i like vannilla and prm

Unless it's a game put out by Valve.

I just laugh when I read about ppl bying a new game and spending like one hour with it before they stop playing.. Like BF2 wasn't a big change from BF1942 and often a very frustrating one at first. I remember how hard it was to actually hit something in BF2 the first times I played it and how many shots it took..

That is not the case. Besides, if they only played an hour of 2142 before getting disgusted, yet played the BF2 demo 'Gulf Of Oman' for hours and had hella fun, there is something to that...

Bias over younger generations perhaps, rather they have different opinions over fun gameplay, decent graphics and cool looking big toys in 2142.

Oh I definitely agree with your statement. Younger generations are more into deathmatch, are not loyal to their clans, have less teamwork ethic, less sportsmanship, and less respect for their competitive foes. Graphics > Gameplay is their opinion, and every weapon has to look like a Pokemon weapon. They want to be able to headshot someone without learning how to use a weapon. They search for exploits in a game instead, and use them. They want to play the game according to their own rules and screw everyone else.

Disclaimer to above statement: This is pointed at North American players. Not all younger players are like this, and IME European and Australian players do not fit this mold.(best games are late night, since the other side of the world starts playing)
