What rotation should my server run?

Well, pure and simple. What maps should it run? This is a 32 man server, with 32 man maps. Currently it's on a full Vanilla rotation, repeating a few good maps:

Dalian
Mashtuur
Dragon
Sharqi
Daqing
Clean Sweep
Karkand
Oman
Jalalabad
FuShe
Kubra
Dalian
Zatar
Wake
Mashtuur
Clean Sweep
Jalalabad
Songhua
Karkand

But IDK, I don't think that would attract many players. I'd prefer a full rotation to be honest. However, if I did 24/7 it would either be Airmaps, AF, some map that's not city maps, or a small selection of maps. If I did that "small selection", I'd have my boat floated by Cleansweep and Dragon. Probably my most favorite air maps in the game.

edit: NO infantry only, 24/7 karkand, or 24/7 city maps

Well I'd go with the 24/7 air map idea cause I dont like the servers that do all maps the air maps is the servers I like.

Hi, asking your fellow forum members is a very good Idea I think. It will help you get things right from the begining.

Briefly, I surf my server list on a regular basis and get to see the maps that attract players and the ones that dont. I wont waste your time by telling you to run a list of my favorite maps but I will tell you a few other things I look for. First, run more than one map. To many people can only play that one map and wind up with limited skills (most of them seem to be jet pilots or medics). Next run your maps at least twice before switching to the next map (some people have long map load times). If you run Infantry only maps, I can tell you the only ones I have had fun on were the 16 player maps with at least 24 players on them. I have played the 16 player Jolly Bob map with 60 players in the battle. That was a lot of fun in IO mode. Last the servers that always seem to have a game going on run a "3+1" or a "2+1" rotation. That means you run the same 3 maps 2 times each plus one other map 2 times and it changes from time to time. (looks like this map 1, map 1, map 2, map 2, map 3, map 3, other 1, other 1, and then map 1, map 1 Im sure you get the Idea).

im down with every map idea. theres too many server playing the same shizit and it gets boring. me and my buddies would play on your server all the time if that was the case.

I run 24/7 Oman, and get half full servers :/

To many big Oman servers out there.

I also tried air maps, but it would still stay half full.

IMO, running a sweep/dragon/dalian/wake/fushe(very underrated map)/and possibly sharqui, for the people that like city maps. That would be a fun rotation, and satisfy many different tastes. mayby repeat a couple of the popular maps.

Cleansweep is, IMO again, the best map out there, but to each their own.

*edit* Dont mean to be a downer, but I dont think a 24/7 AF will attract many people, I know a lot of people on the forums want it, but look how many 24/7 AF servers have had to change due to no traffic.

The very first thing I do is look for an almost full 64 player map. Sorry, but I find it more fun with more people.
