Computer freezes after quitting BF2

After i've been playing BF2 i disconnect and exit the game in the usual way but once it goes to my desktop it freezes after about 30 secs or so. It hasn't always done this but now it does it every time i quit the game. Im pretty sure it was doing it before i installed the new patch too.

Anyone know any solution to this problem?

there is no fix for this problem, but u have it good because my computer cant do anything for about 3 or 4 minutes after quitting

given in mind that the recommended minimum amount of ram is now upto 1gb-1.5gb, (because of all the patch changes to the game).

depending on how many free ram slots you have you could get yourself a 1gb ddr400 stick reasonably cheap, and could still use your 512mb ram that you have, :)

oh right, i suppose that makes sence, i can imagine there is an awful lot of information to clear and things to stop once the game quits the my comp might not be able to handle.

Its just strange that its started to happen after no promting at all, and i reinstalled xp only about a month ago, and only just getting the probelm...
