Personally I don't think it's a bad thing.. With uncap bases you should be there to only destroy the commander assets.. Just the other day I was in Oman commanding and the USMC kept coming in to destroy assets, which is fair enough, but then grabbing tanks, shooting the planes, chopper and people and me when I tried to repair, basically base-raping.. If you grab a vehicle to get out quick, that's fine but staying to have a little shoot 'em up is crap.
So I say legging it as spec-ops (which should be somewhat of a covert job anyway) is a good thing.

If you grab a vehicle to get out quick, that's fine but staying to have a little shoot 'em up is crap.

The base was basically empty, except for that tank, chasing me. I had just 1 pack of C4 left, not enough to kill it, so I was trying to get out of there ASAP.
When that APC spawned, I thought I was saved.
Could it be that it was a PB’s option (and not actually an admin) which kicked me by default the moment I grabbed a vehicle?
It’s interesting to know, since I plan to destroy more assets in the future…

I agree. If I break the server's rules, I should be punished for it. But there wasn't any rule about stealing a vehicle in an enemy base. That's all I did after all.
Almost every server nowadays has this rule "Do not base rape!".
But in my case, there was no one to rape. Except for a tank, the base was empty. I wasn't shooting at anybody, I was running away in a hurry. That APC was looking real sweet and I couldn't resist taking it for a quick ride (now I know better).
Where's the rape in that?!
I guess I'll have to select better servers to play on, that's all.
