primarily an assault player, but lately I've been playing medic to get hours up on the kit --- as assault I love the use of the GL over nade spamming, and would take the AK over the G3, and use it or the F2000 quite a bit.

as a medic on MEC, I use the AK only, and I'll go with one of the 2 unlocks on US - at least till I kill a mec medic :)

The G3 does have a place - at times when a spawn is being overran by infantry I'll switch to the G3, able to rack up kills and have the armor as well.

That is complete rubbish, the G3 is superior in the accuracy department. Personally I prefer the AK-101 although purely because it has more ammunition which comes in handy in CQC.

The G3 doesn't have as much ammo as the Ak-101
Ak-101 does have better Acc
but the G3 is good too

ak101 hands down. i rarely find the need to take long range shots while playing the assault/medic class.

Is it just me or does the ak101 in assault seem more accurate than the one in medic. I don't know but it seems that way to me sometimes. Or I suck.

actually i feel the exact opposite as you and i feel that when i use ak as a medic, i am more deadly.

G3 has the best fire power among handheld weapons.
But if you like the grenade launcher and the extra few bullets then go with the AK-101 or AK-47.
Personally when I feel that I need the grenade launcher I go with the F2000 (flashbangs provide good cover against armor!) otherwise it is the G3.

AK101, definetly. G3 has crap accuracy, great power and extreme rate of fire, which all adds up, IMO, to a gun that ain't that effective in close quarters.

AK on the other hand is more accurate, less powerful but isn't that bad off, and a good rate of fire so you can keep spraying even after you miss those first shots. Also just looks the best.

I actually think that a G3 with a scope and 5 round clip would have been a good unlock for the sniper class. Like an SVD, but shorter range and much more powerful.

From the above link its pretty clear that the G3 does more damage, but is less accurate while moving. The AK-101 is better when strafing or moving while firing.

I just did some rounds using the G3, it works really well even in cqc using single shot. If you click as fast as you can it is still damn accurate at some range.

In the recent past I have been doing some noob tubin also. Im not sure which got me the best results, G3 or AK101 with noob toob

With 101 you can kill harf of teh other team and still have some bullets in the clip

G3 in BF2 < Ak 101 in BF2

sorrys guys we all know the G3 should be better but for blancing issues........
