SAW = Very high ROF, low damage, 10/10 for low-range, 6/10 for mid range, 4/10 for long range.

PKM = Low ROF, very high damage, 8/10 for low-range, 7/10 for mid range, 5/10 for long range

MG36 = Mid ROF, mid damage, 9/10 for low-range, 6.5/10 for mid range, 4.5/10 for long-range.
+ Burst mode which can prove itself as usuful sometimes.

I like the PKM, i always get a minimum 10 kill with it IAR. It's quite good but if you want a more powerful gun use MG36 even though i havent unlock it yet. Ill unlock it later.

On full auto, the MG36 is way more accurate than the PKM, but who really uses a MG that way. Using short bursts the PKM is deadly accurate, even for counter-sniping. I have taken out entire squads with this beast on many occasions. Great fun, especially if there are a couple medics with them, frantically reviving the hapless victims as you mow them down.

The big disadvantage of the PKM, IMO, is fighting in close quarters, less than 10', it is not very accurate at all. (some may say this is an understatement)

PKM in short bursts, it does slightly more damage so if you're accurate its better. that is of course only an opinion

I love my PKM, but i use both. it depends on the map. Like on Kark ill use the PKM. On warlord ill use the MG36. Last time i used the MG36 on warlord i went 56-4. rape i tell ya.

Also I find the PKM can't hit anyone when your standing up, even in close range. The 1.2 PKM though was amazing.

Those pages are not accurate. Use the comparison page for real numbers: http://wiki.bf2s.com/weapons/comparison . Specifically, the minDev for PKM/MG36 is 0.35, not 0.1, and M249 dev added per shot is 0.1, not 0.3, and shots to kill armored is 7, not 6. I would agree that SAW is at least equal to the others at close range because of its higher damage/second but the PKM beats the MG36 at all ranges as long as you keep your bursts short. The PKM does more damage/second and has the same first-shot accuracy as the MG36.

And the RPK has no advantage over the SAW except its ability to kill with a single headshot.

In a MG36/PKM firefight test, I conclude that the MG36 is stronger. This is a test I have taken with my friends
